I used the armor on a trip to Disney world. It did a great job by giving me extra grip and also protecting my camera.I did not use the lens cap to my goal 60mm macro and it actually worked better than my visor plastic. The plastic hood was hitting others including a child and I found that the armor hood did well in crowded places.If camera itself might have better marks for buttons and while it does not slip and is bulky, its doing its job. I have not performed the drop test to check if it really works..
